Questions about Memobound

Is the app available?

Memobound is testing on TestFlight for iPhone and iPad. Request beta access by emailing the team. A public App Store release date has not been announced.

Do I need an account?

There is no Memobound account. A local notebook works without signing in to a note service. Optional iCloud Drive uses your Apple Account. Installing and testing the app uses Apple's distribution tools.

Can I keep everything on one device?

Yes. Choose On My iPhone or On My iPad for the notebook. Device backups are controlled separately, so check those settings if you want to understand every place a copy may exist.

Is iCloud required?

No. It is an optional document location for people who want Apple to sync the files. You need available iCloud space and a connection for transfers. Learn about storage.

Does it work offline?

Writing, reading, organization, and search work with downloaded notes and attachments. New web pages, pending iCloud downloads, and missing language assets need a connection. Check a notebook before going offline.

Can I import Evernote?

The ENEX importer runs on your device. It preserves supported content and reports items that need review. Start with one notebook and keep your original exports. App-specific formatting and task data may not transfer. Read the import guide.

Can I use my files in another app?

The working format contains Markdown text and attachments in TextBundle documents. You can also export Markdown with assets, HTML, or PDF. Editable drawings, links, and rich formatting vary by format. See export choices.

Is there a Mac, Windows, Android, or web app?

The Memobound beta is for iPhone and iPad. Exported standard files can be used in compatible apps elsewhere. That is different from promising a Memobound editor on those platforms.

Can other people edit a notebook with me?

You can send copies through the share sheet. Live coediting, team permissions, and a shared browser workspace are outside the beta's scope. Optional iCloud file sync is not a simultaneous editing service.

Does Face ID encrypt the files?

App lock controls entry to Memobound. It does not encrypt ordinary documents that another app can open in Files. Password-encrypted notes use a separate container, with separate export and recovery limits. Read the privacy details.

Does transcription upload my recording?

Memobound uses supported on-device recognition and does not fall back to a remote transcription provider. A language asset may need to download first. When transcription is unavailable, recording and playback still work.

What happens if I delete the app?

Documents in the app's local folder can be removed with it. Make and verify a separate copy before deleting the app. Do not assume that local revision history is a backup. Back up your notes.

How much will it cost?

Paid pricing has not been announced. The team will publish purchase terms before an App Store release. See beta and release details.
