Bring the files you already have

Start a notebook with material from Files or another app. Memobound can collect editable text and original attachments in the same place without uploading the import to a notes service.

Choose text or an attachment

Import plain text and Markdown as editable notes. Use TextBundle when the source includes text and assets in one package. Supported HTML and rich text are converted into the editor's document model, with unsupported formatting listed for review.

Add PDFs, images, audio, and other documents as attachments when you want to preserve the original file. A file being attached does not mean Memobound can edit its native format. Keep a spreadsheet in its original format and open it in a compatible app when formulas matter.

Keep related files together

When importing Markdown with images, select the containing folder so the relative attachment paths can be resolved. Start with a small collection and check every type of material you use.

Imports create copies in the destination notebook. Renaming or removing the original source should not break an imported attachment. External web links still point to their original destinations.

Review the result

Check note titles, dates, formatting, tags where available, and links between notes. Read the import report for skipped files or conversions that need attention. A successful count does not prove that every complex layout survived unchanged.

Keep the original export until you have opened and backed up the new documents. If you are moving from Evernote, use its ENEX format and the dedicated importer rather than assuming a PDF carries the same metadata.
