OneNote’s mobile workflow connects to notebooks through Microsoft accounts and OneDrive. Memobound uses Apple’s document locations for a personal notebook on iPhone and iPad.

When OneNote fits
Keep OneNote when Microsoft notebook access across your devices and organization is the established workflow. Its notebook and section structure may already be how you collaborate with classmates or colleagues.
When Memobound fits
Memobound fits a personal library where you want to see the files in Files, collect scans and attachments, and make independent backups. Local notebooks do not require a Microsoft or Memobound account.
Export for the content you need
A visual notebook page can contain more layout information than a Markdown note. Use readable PDF exports for complex pages and supported text exports where editing matters. Test attachments separately. Memobound does not claim to open a OneNote notebook file as a native notebook.
