Apple Notes or a notebook in Files
Apple Notes already supports notes kept only on an iPhone as well as notes synced through iCloud. Memobound is an alternative for people who want the working notebook itself to be a set of documents in Files.

When Apple Notes fits
Apple Notes is a natural starting point when its built-in editing and account choices already meet your needs. You do not need to change apps just to keep notes on the device. Check which Notes account a folder belongs to before assuming it is local.
When Memobound fits
Choose Memobound when file-based organization, portable text and attachments, and explicit notebook backups are part of how you work. The Files document is the working copy, rather than an export you create only when you leave the app.
Bring across a small set first
Use the export and sharing options available on your Apple devices. Import supported text and attachments, or keep a PDF as a readable reference. Memobound does not promise direct access to your private Apple Notes database or a lossless conversion of every note type.
