Link a meeting to a project, a reading note to a draft, or a question to the material that answers it. Memobound makes these connections without moving every note into one folder.
Add a link as you write
The link picker finds an existing note by title. Insert a link with meaningful text, such as the project name or the question you are answering. Link to a heading when only one part of a long note matters.
Backlinks show which notes refer to the note you have open. They are a way to retrace your reasoning, not a measure of how valuable a note is.
Make an index for a project
An index note can hold the brief, decisions, source material, meeting notes, and next actions as links. The underlying files can stay in their own folders. Use a short explanation beside each link so the index remains useful after the project pauses.
All of this works offline for downloaded documents. A link to a file that exists only in iCloud still needs that file to download.
Keep connections portable
The export translates links between notes included in the same HTML or Markdown export into relative file links. Links to omitted notes are listed for review. External URLs stay ordinary URLs.
Plugins, a graph view, and live shared knowledge bases are not needed for this workflow. Memobound concentrates on writing, connecting, and finding your own material.
