Joplin or Memobound for offline work
Joplin is an open-source notebook that keeps data available offline and offers a choice of sync services. Memobound uses Apple document storage for a personal iPhone and iPad notebook.

When Joplin fits
Joplin fits when open-source software, multiple operating systems, or a choice of sync targets matters. Its documentation includes Evernote import and optional encrypted sync. Offline notes are an existing strength, not a gap Memobound needs to invent.
When Memobound fits
Choose Memobound when the Apple Files workflow is the deciding factor. Create a local notebook or put one in iCloud Drive, then capture and search its documents on iPhone or iPad. There is no separate sync-service setup inside the app.
Move readable copies
Use an export format supported by the destination and include the attachments. An application’s internal sync folder is not necessarily a folder intended for manual editing. Preserve the original Joplin backup, and check dates, tags, and links after a sample import.
Plan a portable backup or request TestFlight access.
